SAVANNAH ISABEL GREY
Fletcher confirmed that he wasn't with the Illuminati and Ridley simply nodded, having nothing else to say about it. His choice to stay neutral wasn't a big deal, at least not to her. It would only be a big deal if he chose to side with the Harbingers and Ridley didn't think that would be happening anytime soon. Or ever. A silence fell between them and Ridley almost smiled. He was still here, he hadn't left. Maybe he didn't think being around her was so bad after all, maybe he liked being in her company. The thought was enough to stir up the flurry of butterflies in her stomach. The butterflies that only ever appeared when Fletcher did. Biting back on her lower lip, she allowed her gaze to shift ever so slightly so that she was staring at the reflection of the wizard at her side. He looked relaxed, comfortable. Not quite as much as he had in the club, when he hadn't known her age, but a lot more than he had when he'd found her on the quidditch pitch and then on the stairs. Sitting a few feet away from him, having a normal conversation, was something she thought would never happen. Not after she had planted that kiss on him. She'd been convinced he'd never come near her again after that but here they were. His next words caught her off guard. She lifted her head from the wall, giving him her undivided attention as he explained why he'd been neutral for so long. He had lost both of his parents to the last war. A pang went through her and suddenly she could understand why he was so hesitant to join in on the fight. War meant destruciton and pain and death. He had already lost people because of it once. He probably didn't want to go through that again and she couldn't blame him. "I'm sorry that you lost your parents." Sympathy wasn't what he was looking for, she knew that, but she told him she was sorry anyway because, although it wasn't quite the same, she had lost her mum - and that had been hard as hell. It still was. She couldn't imagine what it was like to lose both parents. "Yeah" She'd been with the Illuminati since the Harbingers had first attacked the school. But as far as she was concerned it meant nothing because, as a student, she wasn't allowed to get involved. And she wanted to be involved, she wanted to help, to fight back, and she couldn't. She looked to Fletcher and shrugged her shoulders a little at his comment. "I'm a Frey, we're pretty good at dealing with the heavy stuff." she wasn't sure if she was trying to convince Fletcher that she was okay with talking about stuff that made her want to bury her head, or herself. Maybe it was both. "You're going to be staying at the school, right?" what if, thanks to the attack on hogsmeade, he would be sent somewhere else? Assigned to another job? She'd probably never see him again and that wasn't something she was okay with, even if she was sure he'd be totally fine with never seeing her again. this character is played by LOKI |
