Adelyn was sat in a small room off her main office to try to get some work done that needed to be completed. The thing about being Headmistress was the amount of paperwork that needed to be completed. She enjoys the job and every now and again, she would seek advice from the other portraits since she had only had the job for a few short years. Earlier in the day, she had been having a floo call with her eldest daughter Ava to see how she was doing with her mastership in Charms.

It had been one of those days when she really did not have much time for herself and no doubt would continue into the evening once more. Adelyn was hiding out in the side room be-cause the portrait of Dumbledore kept telling her she was working too hard, but the fact was that they were entering dark times again, there time of peace was now over. It was then the portrait of herself came and informed her someone was in her office. Adelyn did not like he portrait of herself that moved it just felt strange to be talking to herself on some of the occasions.

She stood up and moved away from the small desk she had placed in there. Adelyn walked around and out the door onto the small balcony overlooking the office and saw Maverick standing there. “Maverick, hello. What can I do for you?” She asked him as she walked down the stairs in her signa-ture heels, there was only a handful of time she did not wear them. Adelyn did respect him be-cause of what he was doing, she knew he was closed off but he was a good man and she could respect that from him. Maverick was one of the few people she could really trust at the moment.
