Rose was going to kill Francis. She didn’t know how, or where she was going to hide his dismembered body, but she knew that it was going to happen. She'd only gone on one or two dates with him, and as their next outing, he'd somehow managed to convince the redhead to go with him to the Natural History Museum of London. It had taken quite a bit of pleading, (and the exchange of chocolate and firewhiskey), but Rose had eventually agreed. But now that she was standing completely alone in the main atrium with a rather pricey ticket clasped in her right hand, the firewhiskey and chocolate really didn’t seem worth it. Francis had sent her an owl only minutes after she had purchased her ticket, explaining that he was extremely sorry, but couldn't make it, saying something about a forgotten business lunch. The redhead pulled the crumpled piece of paper from her pocket once more, her eyes scanning over his messy, slightly hurried writing before scoffing; business lunch her ass. He worked in a bloody hat shop. What kind of business lunch could he possibly have?!
Sighing slightly, she crumpled up the note and tossed it into a nearby garbage can before turning around and surveying the museum. When at school, History of Magic had been one of her favorite subjects, mainly because of the passion her professor had shown. But in the past year she'd lost interest in that sort of thing, and now found herself in a rather compromising situation; did she stay and put to use the ticket, or leave and waste the money? The choice was relatively clear, and all Rose could hope was that nature’s history would intrigue her as much as the professor's lectures had.
After carefully studying a map, Rose learned that there were four different ‘zones’ in the museum. First was the Red Zone, which was dedicated to the earth’s geology, then there was the Green Zone which contained all things pertaining to birds, plants and insects. After that came the Blue Zone, which focused mainly on mammals, and then finally the Orange Zone, which was home to a wildlife garden. It took her only a few minutes to decide that she wanted to visit the Green Zone first. And so it was with a slightly spring in her step that she began to make her way there.
As soon as the redhead stepped into the large space, her eyes widened as she attempted to take in every tiny detail. The exhibit was bigger than she’d expected, and the sheer magnitude of everything caused her to fall into a slight daze. Rose maneuvered her way over to the first wall of information, her eyes scanning over the chunky blocks of text, so eager to take in the new information that she didn't notice when someone stopped right beside her.
